Troubleshooting

Fixes for the most common SeoGrep connection issues in beta.

Most setup problems come down to three things: a mistyped URL, a client that needs a restart, or a beta limit. Check these before anything else.

SeoGrep tools don't show up in chat

  • Symptom: you added the connector, but no SeoGrep tools appear.
  • Check: open your client's MCP or connector settings and confirm the URL matches YOUR_MCP_URL exactly, with no trailing spaces or line breaks.
  • Fix: remove and re-add the connector, then start a brand-new chat — most clients only refresh their tool list on a new session.

"Connection failed" or similar error

  • Symptom: the client shows an error when you add the URL.
  • Check: confirm you pasted the full URL exactly as your dashboard shows it — partial pastes are a common cause.
  • Fix: copy the URL again from the dashboard and paste it fresh, rather than editing the old one.

Tools worked, then stopped

  • Symptom: SeoGrep tools were working and then disappeared.
  • Check: restart the client — some clients drop remote connectors after being idle or after an update.
  • Fix: if restarting doesn't help, re-add the connector with a freshly copied URL from the dashboard.

Runs stop with an out-of-credits message

  • Symptom: a run stops and the reply says you're out of credits.
  • Check: ask get_credit_balance in your chat to see your remaining balance.
  • Fix: trial credits are a one-time grant during beta; top-ups and plans open at launch — see pricing.
